Kin Kin State School was recently ranked by the Better Education website as among QLD’s best schools, scoring 98 out of a possible 100.

Kin Kin State School (KKSS) offers a personalised learning experience for students and their families that goes beyond the norms of integrated school curriculums and works on maximising and prioritising individual strengths and opportunities.

Kin Kin State School was established more than 100 years ago and today nurtures children to be individuals. The children are excited to go to school and be educated by the lovely community-minded teachers in an innovative and fun way through the Kitchen Garden program, technology program, music and language.

Students, parents, staff and local community members collectively provide a learning environment reflective of the local community that supports students developing values and skills to become responsible learners and citizens.

Kin Kin students collaborate with their parents and teacher to establish five learning goals in taking ownership of their own learning. We also foster student’s creative interests by providing valuable learning experiences with our resident commercial artist, and by conducting a guitar club and Rock Band.

The Kin Kin State school community also has strong links with its local community – Noosa Biosphere, Noosa Catchment Management, Kabi Organic Golf Course, Living Valley Springs (Health Retreat), Kin Kin Native Plant Wholesaler, Noosa Land Care and other local businesses that complement our capacity to ensure all our programs are productive and sustainable.
